2003: Charlton Athletic 2-1 Everton

Alan Curbishley’s in-form Charlton Athletic side secured their fourth successive Premier League victory with a 2-1 home win over Everton.

The hosts took an 18th-minute lead when Radostin Kishishev slotted home after Richard Wright parried Shaun Bartlett’s shot.

Everton equalised in the second half through Brian McBride but Kevin Lisbie hit an 83rd-minute winner.

Charlton remained eighth with 42 points, three places and three points below Everton.

2003: Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Sunderland

Tottenham Hotspur overcame bottom side Sunderland 4-1 at White Hart Lane, with Darren Anderton setting up three of their goals.

Anderton laid on Gus Poyet's 14th-minute opener and, although Kevin Phillips levelled, another Anderton assist helped Gary Doherty to restore Spurs' lead just before the interval.

Simon Davies then latched onto Poyet’s pass to establish a two-goal advantage, before Anderton found Teddy Sheringham, who scored his 300th career goal.

The margin of Tottenham Hotspur's victory took them above Charlton Athletic into seventh place on goal difference, while Sunderland remained at the foot of the table, six points from safety.
