1995: Sheffield Wednesday 6-2 Leeds United
Sheffield Wednesday had a day to remember as they secured a comprehensive 6-2 home win over Leeds United.
Two Marc Degryse goals sandwiched a Guy Whittingham strike as the hosts established a 3-0 lead inside the opening 25 minutes.
Thomas Brolin promptly pulled one back for Leeds but Mark Bright increased Sheffield Wednesday’s advantage again in the second half, and David Hirst struck either side of Rod Wallace’s consolation goal.
The result left Sheffield Wednesday 14th on 21 points, while Leeds remained ninth on 25 points.
2007: Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea
Arsenal beat Chelsea for the first time since February 2004, reclaiming top spot with a 1-0 win.
Manchester United had moved above the Gunners earlier in the day but William Gallas's header ensured an Arsenal win in front of their home fans at the Emirates Stadium.
The result left Arsenal with 40 points, one ahead of second-placed Manchester United, while Chelsea’s defeat left them in third place, six points adrift of their London rivals.
