The Scout is tipping five players to produce big points in Gameweek 1 of Fantasy Premier League.

Christian Eriksen (TOT) £9.5m

The Tottenham Hotspur playmaker will hope for a repeat of last season's opener at Newcastle United.

Eriksen supplied both of his side's assists in a 2-0 win at St James' Park in Gameweek 1.

That set the tone for his displays on the road.

Away from home, the Dane ranked among the top-three players for both shots on target, with 29, and chances created, with 41.

Eriksen also excelled when it came to creating big chances, or a situation where a player is expected to score.

The nine he produced were more than any other player away from home last season.

Vulnerable rearguard

Newcastle's defensive record further strengthens his potential.

Only three teams claimed fewer clean sheets than the Magpies' nine last term.

That record has continued in pre-season, with Rafael Benitez's men managing only one shutout in their last four summer friendlies.

Eriksen's 17.2 per cent ownership makes him the fourth-most popular midfielder in FPL.

And his contribution looks vital for the opening match, given that both Harry Kane (£12.5m) and Dele Alli (£9.0m) returned late to pre-season training because of the FIFA World Cup.

That should allow the Dane to be the difference at St James' Park once again as Spurs look to get off to a winning start.
