West Ham United have announced the signing of Italy forward Simone Zaza from Juventus on an initial season-long loan.
The Hammers will pay a €5m loan fee for the 25-year-old with a permanent fee of €20m automatically triggered after a certain number of Premier League appearances this season, plus a further €3m in contingent payments.
"I want to thank everyone for welcoming me including the fans and everyone at the Club," Zaza told whufc.com. "I wanted to start a new experience and I feel this is the right choice for me.
The former Atalanta, Sampdoria and Sassuolo player, who featured for his country in UEFA Euro 2016, has been with Juventus since last year and helped the club claim the Serie A title.
Zaza, who scored for Juventus against the Hammers in a summer friendly at the London Stadium, is West Ham's 11th signing of the summer transfer window.
He will miss Sunday's match at Manchester City but could feature in West Ham's next Premier League contest, against Watford at home on 10 September.
