An inspired piece of transfer business helped English manager Gary Martin-Dufaur to the highest individual total of Gameweek 12.
Gary Martin-Dufaur's Sussex by the sea team scored 99 points, 24 of which came from two timely transfers.
The Brighton & Hove Albion fan brought in Cardiff City midfielder Callum Paterson (£5.2m) and Newcastle United striker Salomon Rondon (£5.7m).
Bargain buys
The pair produced 12 points apiece as the decision to hold over a transfer from Gameweek 11 paid major dividends.
Indeed Martin-Dufaur showed once again that there is no room for sentiment in FPL as Paterson scored against his beloved Brighton.
Double-digit returns also came from Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart (£4.5m) and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson (£6.4m).
Gary made Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero (£11.4m) his Gameweek 12 captain and his goalscoring performance in the Manchester derby brought in a further 14 points.
Consistent improvement
There were also nine-point hauls from Aguero's team-mate David Silva (£8.5m), Chelsea centre-back David Luiz (£5.5m) and West Ham United midfielder Felipe Anderson (£6.9m).
Gary has consistently improved his overall ranking across his four completed seasons as an FPL manager, and this latest boost moves him up to just outside the top 100,000.
As the manager with the highest score among those not using any of their chips, he wins a copy of FIFA 19, a Nike Merlin match ball and an FPL rucksack and mug.
