Watford FC v Newcastle United

Abdoulaye Doucoure's late equaliser gave Watford a 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle United.

Salomon Rondon had put Newcastle in front on 29 minutes, heading in Matt Ritchie's cross.

Watford twice came close to drawing level before half-time, but Isaac Success was unable to find a way past Martin Dubravka on both occasions.

The Hornets eventually broke through with eight minutes remaining, substitute Doucoure rising to head Gerard Deulofeu's cross into the net.

The draw means Watford move above Everton into ninth place, while Newcastle remain 15th on 18 points.
