Many Fantasy Premier League managers are agonising over which player will be their Gameweek 18 captain but FPL expert Mark Sutherns is in no doubt as to whom he will give the armband to: Raheem Sterling (£11.6m).
"Six starts at the Etihad Stadium, seven goals and three assists," says Sutherns in the latest FPL Show of the Manchester City midfielder’s home form ahead of Saturday’s visit by Crystal Palace.
"He's just been outstanding in home matches. He’s had a rest, so he’s going to be fresh for this game, up against [Patrick] Van Aanholt at left-back for Palace.
“He’s going to have some fun.”
In the special hour-long show, fellow expert Az Phillips adds that form and attractive-looking fixtures for Man City and Arsenal make the case to hand the GW18 captaincy to Leroy Sane (£9.7m) or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.5m).
"I do like Sane, particularly as he missed out in the week so he’s definitely going to start, he’s the top-scoring player in the game over the last few weeks," Phillips says.
"Aubameyang has been really unlikely not to have got double-digit hauls over the last few weeks. If you’ve got him, keep him and hope he starts."
