With the second Fantasy Premier League Wildcard available, The Scout reviews the top targets to consider for the chip.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) £5.2m
The raiding right-back’s ability to provide attacking and defensive points is key to his appeal.
Alexander-Arnold has one goal, three assists and nine clean sheets over his 16 Gameweek appearances.
That has helped him average an impressive 5.4 points per match (ppm) for Liverpool.
His underlying statistics highlight his potential for goals and assists.
Despite missing five matches, Alexander-Arnold’s totals of 17 shots on goal and 18 chances created both rank among the top 11 defenders.
And his outstanding upcoming schedule points to more returns for the youngster.
According to the Fixture Difficulty Rankings (FDR), only three of Liverpool’s final 17 opponents score more than three.
Alexander-Arnold offers a far more budget-friendly route into their rearguard compared with fellow defenders Andrew Robertson (£6.6m) and Virgil Van Dijk (£6.4m).
At a cost of only £5.2m, he can provide FPL managers outstanding value for money from now until the end of the season.
