Tyrone Mings scored a dramatic winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time as Aston Villa came from behind to snatch a vital 2-1 victory over Watford.
Troy Deeney had put Watford ahead with a thumping close-range header in the 38th minute.
But Villa substitute Douglas Luiz equalised from a 68th-minute rebound after Ben Foster had parried Matt Targett’s shot.
And Mings had the final word at the death, touching home after a fierce shot from Ezri Konsa.
His goal lifted Aston Villa out of the bottom three and up to 16th in the table.
Watford's second defeat under Nigel Pearson drops them back into the relegation zone in 19th place.
