Aston Villa substitute Keinan Davis struck his first Premier League goal in stoppage time to deny West Bromwich Albion a vital win in their relegation battle as the teams shared a 2-2 draw at Villa Park.
In a first half of two penalties, Villa took the lead on nine minutes when Anwar El Ghazi sent Sam Johnstone the wrong way from the spot following a foul by Semi Ajayi on Ross Barkley.
West Brom levelled with Matheus Pereira's penalty on 23 minutes after VAR confirmed that Ezri Konsa had fouled Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The Baggies took the lead on 47 minutes when Mbaye Diagne's angled shot was diverted into his own net by Tyrone Mings.
Villa responded with Johnstone saving from Ahmed El Mohamady and Ollie Watkins as the hosts pressed for an equaliser.
Davis hit the upright with six minutes remaining but was not to be denied when he took advantage of West Brom defensive hesitation to score from close range.
West Brom remain 19th on 25 points, nine behind Brighton & Hove Albion in 17th with five matches remaining. Villa stay 11th on 45 points.
