Chris Wood scored his first Premier League hat-trick and claimed an assist as Burnley moved nine points clear of the bottom three with a 4-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
All three of Wood's goals came in the first half, with the opener arriving on 15 minutes when he finished superbly into the bottom-left corner from Matthew Lowton's pass.
His second was a tap-in at the far post after Dwight McNeil had pounced on a loose clearance.
The striker completed his treble just before the break when he powered in a header from McNeil’s corner to become the first player from New Zealand to score a Premier League hat-trick.
Wood capped off a sensational performance when he turned provider with five minutes remaining, laying the ball off to Ashley Westwood to power in a fourth goal.
In ending a run of three straight defeats Burnley move up to 14th on 36 points, two places and five points below Wolves.
