Matej Vydra scored a 62nd-minute winner as Burnley leapfrogged Everton to move out of the relegation zone with a crucial 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Turf Moor.
Both teams created chances in the opening 20 minutes, Dwight McNeil curling an effort over for Burnley before home goalkeeper Nick Pope made a smart save to deny Jonny.
McNeil tested Jose Sa with a 38th-minute shot and Nathan Collins glanced a header wide from Jack Cork's cross as Burnley finished the opening half on the front foot.
Pope brilliantly tipped over Nelson Semedo's drive on 51 minutes and how crucial that save proved.
Burnley took the lead when Wout Weghorst slipped the ball through to Vydra, who swept home with aplomb.
Burnley's second victory in three matches takes them to 17th with 31 points, two points above Everton. The Toffees have one match in hand.
Wolves remain eighth on 49 points.
