Goals either side of half-time by Demarai Gray and Dominic Calvert-Lewin handed Everton a 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Brighton started well at Amex Stadium, Neal Maupay shooting just over and Alexis Mac Allister forcing a block in the opening 15 minutes.
But it was the visitors who went in front after 41 minutes through Gray, who received the ball just inside the opposition half before surging forward and finishing low past Robert Sanchez.
Everton doubled their advantage just before the hour mark thanks to a Calvert-Lewin penalty after Joel Veltman had fouled Seamus Coleman.
Abdoulaye Doucoure came close to adding a third as Everton claimed a second win in three matches, taking them up to fourth in the table, level with leaders West Ham United.
Brighton have six points from a possible nine and lie seventh.
