Zaha and Gallagher lift Palace to ninth

Wilfried Zaha and Conor Gallagher moved Crystal Palace into the top half of the table with a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Palace shaded the first half at Selhurst Park but Wolves went closest to scoring on 39 minutes when Raul Jimenez’s header was kept out by Vicente Guaita.

Zaha put Palace ahead on 61 minutes, converting from James McArthur’s clever through-ball.

Gallagher sealed a successive win for Palace with his fourth goal of the season, a deflected effort with 12 minutes remaining.

A sixth match unbeaten moves Palace up to 10th with 15 points.

Wolves are a point and two places above Palace after their five-match unbeaten run came to an end.
