Conor Coady scored the only goal as Wolverhampton Wanderers condemned Everton to a fourth straight Premier League defeat with a narrow victory at Goodison Park.
Everton went close to the opening goal on six minutes, but Richarlison was denied from six yards by Jose Sa, who then reacted quickly to block Demarai Gray after 21 minutes.
Joao Moutinho fired straight at Jordan Pickford from distance and Raul Jimenez's overhead kick was off target three minutes before the break as Wolves finished the opening half on the front foot.
Wolves went ahead four minutes after the restart when Coady headed in from Ruben Neves' cross for his third goal of the season.
Richarlison hit the woodwork from Anthony Gordon's cross and Everton's misery was compounded when Jonjoe Kenny received two yellow cards in three minutes, forcing the hosts to play the final 13 minutes with 10 men.
Back-to-back wins move Wolves up to seventh on 46 points, five behind fourth-placed Arsenal having played three matches more.
Everton remain 17th, above third-bottom Watford on goal difference but with three matches in hand.
