Neal Maupay missed a penalty for Brighton & Hove Albion, squandering a chance to become the club's all-time leading Premier League goalscorer, as the Seagulls were held to a goalless draw by bottom club Norwich City.
Brighton were awarded a penalty on 28 minutes following a handball by Sam Byram, but Maupay blazed his spot-kick over the bar.
Graham Potter's side went close again early in the second half as Joel Veltman's header was brilliantly tipped over by Tim Krul.
Maupay then missed another opportunity to move past Glenn Murray's Premier League tally as he fired into the side-netting, before Lewis Dunk's header clipped a post.
Milot Rashica shot over on the counter-attack late on for Norwich, but neither side could find a breakthrough.
A seventh match without a win leaves Brighton 13th on 34 points. Norwich are winless in eight and remain bottom with 18 points, seven adrift of 17th-placed Everton and having played an extra three matches.
