Goals from Pontus Jansson, Yoane Wissa and Kristoffer Ajer earned Brentford a first win in three matches, beating Southampton 3-0.
The home side went ahead on 13 minutes as Ivan Toney’s cross was converted by Jansson.
The Bees doubled their lead a minute and 16 seconds later through Wissa’s curled finish from 20 yards.
Southampton improved but could not find a way past David Raya, who saved from Armando Broja and substitute Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Ajer sealed the victory 11 minutes from time, turning a couple of Saints defenders before poking the ball in.
Brentford rise to 12th with 43 points, three points and places ahead of Southampton, who are without a win in four.
