West Ham United will play in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season after they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
A win would have secured West Ham a sixth-placed finish but they were unable to capitalise on Manchester United's 1-0 loss at Crystal Palace.
It was looking good for the Hammers after Michail Antonio scored a wonder goal in the 40th minute.
But Joel Veltman's shot squirmed through Lukasz Fabianski five minutes after half-time, before Pascal Gross completed the turnaround with a brilliant turn and finish with 10 minutes left.
Brighton added a third in stoppage time when Danny Welbeck headed in a Gross corner.
Mark Noble came off the bench for his 414th and final Premier League appearance for West Ham, who end in seventh with 56 points, two behind Man Utd.
Brighton rise to ninth on 51 points, giving them a first top-half Premier League finish.
