United qualify for Europa League despite Zaha's winner

Wilfried Zaha's first-half strike helped Crystal Palace beat Manchester United 1-0 but West Ham United's 3-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion means United finish sixth and qualify for the UEFA Europa League.

Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp were denied by David De Gea before Zaha opened the scoring on 37 minutes.

The winger drove into the penalty area before shooting into the bottom-left corner.

Scott McTominay could only head straight at Vicente Guaita with 16 minutes remaining as United were unable to find an equaliser.

They end the season in sixth on 58 points, two clear of West Ham.

Palace finish 12th with 48 points in Patrick Vieira's first season in charge at Selhurst Park.
