Chelsea v Liverpool
David Luiz is set to make his second debut for Chelsea when they host Liverpool in the first Premier League encounter of Matchweek 5 on Friday night.
Luiz, who made 81 top-flight appearances for the Blues before joining Paris Saint-Germain in June 2014, re-signed for the west Londoners last month, and Antonio Conte, the Chelsea head coach, confirmed on Thursday that the 29-year-old will start against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge with captain John Terry out with strained ankle ligaments.
"We expect him to play very well, we know he's a good player," Conte told chelseafc.com about Luiz. "He's worked a lot on defensive situations and when we are in possession. I have confidence in him."
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hoping his side can maintain the same level of movement and ruthlessness they demonstrated when beating champions Leicester City 4-1 last time out but insisted his side are still a work in progress.
"They are more experienced," he told liverpoolfc.com. "But we are the challenger and we want to go there and create real problems for them. That's how it is."
