Brighton could move to within two points of AFC Bournemouth, who are 13th, with victory in this meeting of south-coast teams. Both have lost their last two successive PL matches.

Team news

Brighton's Pascal Gross and Solly March have returned to training, leaving Chris Hughton to decide whether to involve them on Saturday.

Eddie Howe is unable to call on defensive duo Charlie Daniels (dislocated knee) and Diego Rico (ankle). Lewis Cook, Simon Francis and Andrew Surman remain long-term absentees.

Did you know?

Brighton have lost only one of their last 14 home matches in all competitions against AFC Bournemouth (W7 D6). The lone defeat came in April 2015 when they succumbed to a 2-0 reverse in the Championship.

The Cherries won six of their opening 10 PL matches this season (D2 L2). Since then, they have won five of their 23 league fixtures (D3 L15). Only relegated Fulham and Huddersfield Town have lost more PL matches than the Cherries since November.

Glenn Murray has failed to score in his last eight Premier League home matches. He last had a longer goalless run at home, excluding playoffs, between October 2011 and April 2012 with Crystal Palace over 14 matches.

Ryan Fraser has provided more assists away from home than any other player in the PL this season with six. The Scot has set up four of AFC Bournemouth’s last eight goals on the road.
