Matty Longstaff has won the Budweiser Goal of the Month award for his winner against Manchester United on a dream Premier League debut.
The 19-year-old midfielder marked his first appearance for Newcastle United with a low strike from outside the box in front of the famous Gallowgate End at St James' Park.
Longstaff revealed on Wednesday that the moment got to him but even though he "can't remember" much of his goal, he says scoring was one the best feelings he has had.
"I don't think any of my goals will match that feeling"
"Scoring the goal is still a bit of a dream," he said. "As a kid growing up you want it and you think, will it ever happen?
"The thing was to try to get a good connection and I was hoping that it went towards the goal; thankfully for me it ended up hitting the back of the net.
"Even if I score another 100 goals, I don't think any of them will match that feeling. Getting to do it on your debut makes it even more special."
It is the first time a player has won a Budweiser Goal of the Month award with a strike on their debut since Cristhian Stuani did so for Middlesbrough at Sunderland in August 2016.
The midfielder's effort was chosen as the winner by a panel of experts combined with a public vote, beating seven other October contenders.
