Brighton & Hove Albion v Leicester City

Second-half goals from Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy made it five consecutive victories for Leicester City as they beat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 to remain second in the table.

Leicester had the better of the first half, with Mat Ryan denying Vardy and Harvey Barnes while Shane Duffy headed Brighton's best chance over.

The Foxes took a deserved lead midway through the second half, Vardy breaking down the right and sliding the ball across for Perez to tap in.

It was 2-0 on 82 minutes, with Vardy scoring through a retaken penalty. His first spot-kick had been saved by Ryan, with James Maddison converting the rebound, but the VAR had found encroachment by players from both teams, forcing the retake.

Leicester remain second on 29 points, while Brighton stay 12th with 15.
