Two of the top three teams go head-to-head at the King Power Stadium, with third-placed Leicester City lying one spot behind visitors Manchester City.

The Foxes are aiming to get back to winning ways after back-to-back draws with Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Team news

Leicester have injury problems in central midfield. Wilfred Ndidi (knee) is not ready to return and Hamza Choudhury is suspended for one match.

With Nampalys Mendy (knee) also still out, Brendan Rodgers says he will consider using Matty James.

David Silva (knock) could face Leicester despite coming off against West Ham. Raheem Sterling (hamstring) remains a doubt and Leroy Sane (knee) is a long-term absentee.

Brendan Rodgers is looking for his first victory over Pep Guardiola at the fifth attempt. He has only faced Jose Mourinho more while failing to win a match, after six such meetings.

Jamie Vardy has scored more top-flight goals, with five, against Guardiola's teams than any other player across the Spaniard’s spells at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Man City.

Gabriel Jesus has scored in all three of his Premier League starts against Leicester. Two of those goals have ended up winning Man City the match.

Man City, who lost 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur in their last away match, haven't failed to score in consecutive Premier League away matches since January 2017.
