Chelsea have announced the signing of Thiago Silva.
The 35-year-old centre-back has agreed a one-year deal with Chelsea, who have the option of a further 12 months, after the expiry of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Thiago Silva enjoyed a successful eight-year stay in Paris, winning 18 major honours.
Last season, the Brazilian made 21 top-flight appearances and featured nine times in the UEFA Champions League where the Ligue 1 champions finished runners-up.
"I am delighted to be a part of Frank Lampard’s exciting squad for next season and I’m here to challenge for honours," Thiago Silva told Chelsea's official website.
He is Chelsea's fifth signing of the summer after Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Malang Sarr and will add to Lampard's options in central defence ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, which starts with a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday 14 September.
