At the weekend, Emiliano Martinez produced one of the most phenomenal saves the Premier League has ever seen.
Martinez somehow kept out a close-range header by Nottingham Forest's Nicolas Dominguez, reacting incredibly to stop the ball on the goalline.
On the save, former England goalkeeper Robert Green said: "It’s incredible. You could ask him how he saved it - he doesn’t know! It’s just instinct. The brilliant thing about this is, when the header is made, his left foot, it touches the ground on the impact of the header.
"He’s in a brilliant, set position. His feet are level and on the ground, his hands are out in front of him - it seems an obvious thing but if you can’t see your hands, you can’t track your hand to the ball. So you’re guessing.
"Yes, he’s going backwards because he’s got to buy himself some time, but he can track the ball down to make that save behind him, just because he’s in that position.
"It’s incredible reactions but what he’s done within the space of a fraction of a second is got the basics perfectly right. To have your hands up and set, your feet square up the pitch, gives him all the time he can be afforded. It’s an incredible bit of goalkeeping. Everyone’s saying it’s wonderful reactions but it’s brilliant basics as well."
