The Scout looks at the Fantasy Premier League potential of summer signings ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Eberechi Eze (CRY) £6.0m
The attacking midfielder arrives in FPL on the back of 14 goals and eight assists for Queens Park Rangers in last season’s Championship.
Eze’s role as QPR's primary set-piece taker was vital to his output.
The 22-year-old scored four of his goals from the penalty spot, while he also scored once from a direct free-kick.
And he also dominated corner kicks for the west London side.
Eze scores 20-second training hat-trick
However, FPL managers will need to wait to see if Eze will overtake Luka Milivojevic (£6.0m) for dead-ball duties at Crystal Palace.
The Serbia international has been one of the most reliable players in FPL for converting penalties in recent years.
Over the last two seasons, he has taken 13 of the Eagles’ 14 penalties in the Premier League, converting 12 of them.
Milivojevic is also Palace's go-to player for taking corners and free-kicks.
Attacking potential
Eze is expected to occupy a left-wing role for Roy Hodgson's men, although he is also an option as a No 10 in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
The underlying statistics pinpoint his all-round potential.
His average of 39.8 per shot was second only to the 30.7 minutes of Christian Benteke (£5.5m) among Palace regulars last season.
And his 49 minutes per chance created were quicker than any Eagles player with more than two starts.
Ultimately, Eze’s duties on set-pieces may determine his potential in 2020/21 FPL.
If he can surpass Milivojevic as Palace’s first-choice taker, he could emerge as a value option in midfield.
