Brighton 6-1 West Ham, PL2 D1

Match summary

5 Feb 2021

Six different goalscorers helped Brighton & Hove Albion end a five-match winless Division 1 run with victory over 10-man West Ham United.

Antef Tsoungui, Teddy Jenks, Evan Ferguson, Danny Cashman, Reda Khadra and Lars Dendoncker, the brother of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Leander, struck to give interim managers Andrew Crofts and Shannon Ruth a perfect start.

Brighton's task was made easier when Frederik Alves was sent off for bringing down Cashman when through on goal after only eight minutes.

Ademipo Odubeko gave West Ham hope when he made it 3-1, but the Hammers stay bottom, seven points from safety. Brighton move up to eighth, above next opponents Liverpool.
