The option of using the Wildcard to pick a brand new squad is always tempting, and for Fantasy Premier League enthusiast and Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford (£7.9m) he activated the chip as early as Gameweek 2.
"I played it after the first week because my team, I needed to make some adjustments and I couldn't take the points hit," says Bamford in the video above on the latest FPL Show.
As for whether he would recommend himself or any of his Leeds team-mates for Fantasy managers to buy, last season's second top-scoring forward with 194 points is happy to back himself.
"Not blowing my own trumpet, but I’d say me, Raphinha, and Stuart Dallas or Luke Ayling, one of those two," he says.
Bamford's success last season has come at a cost, quite literally, with his FPL price jumping to £8.0m at the start of the season.
"I guess it's flattering, but it does make it difficult to fit [me in]," he says. "But for those who take it proper seriously, there's probably room to get me in there in certain weeks."
