Eight sides handed Double Gameweek 22

The Scout’s panel of experts discuss how they will approach Double Gameweek 22 in Fantasy Premier League, with eight sides set to play twice.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Double Gameweeks can be perfect for playing chips, however my team doesn't really lend itself to one this time. I have enough players with good single fixtures and enough with two matches not to warrant a Free Hit. There isn't a standout player with perfect fixtures for the Triple Captain chip, so I'm currently planning to be chip-less.

Tom Cantle (@WGTA_FPL)

I've already used one of my Free Hit chips and was thinking of saving the other, but this could be a good opportunity. Rivals who are not using the Free Hit could have a low number of Double Gameweek players, which means you could have an advantage on appearance points alone. A few returns on top justify it.

Holly Shand (@HollyShand)

With plenty of issues in my squad and few key players for the Double Gameweek, I'm tempted to go early with the Wildcard. I don't think the fixtures are attractive enough to justify a Free Hit.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

As tantalising as it is to Free-Hit in a Double Gameweek, I'll not be playing any chips. Instead I'll be selling Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) and distributing the funds to get as many Double Gameweek players in my team as possible, including Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.5m), who looks one of the top captaincy choices.

Geoff Dance (@GeoffreyDance)

I saved my Free Hit earlier in the season for Double Gameweeks and now that we have one, I'll use it to try to optimise returns. I'll be looking at differential picks to try to get a significant rank boost.
