One word encapsulated it all.
Aguerrooooooo.
A first Premier League title was about to slip agonisingly through Manchester City's fingers.
Level on points with their greatest rivals Manchester United going into the final day of the season, City were 2-1 down against Queens Park Rangers as the 90 minutes ticked in.
United had won their match 1-0 against Sunderland thanks to a Wayne Rooney header. The Premier League crown was slipping.
But, in four minutes, everything changed.
Edin Dzeko started the comeback by producing a close-range header from a David Silva corner in the second minute of stoppage time.
The mood inside the Etihad Stadium was one of breathlessness, exhaustion and jangled nerves.
And, after a clever exchange with Mario Balotelli, Sergio Aguero took the ball around Taye Taiwo before smashing the ball past Paddy Kenny at the near post to send the blue half of Manchester into ecstasy.
All encapsulated by a talismanic striker who grew up 4,000 miles away, and whose name will forever be written into Premier League legend.
Aguero. And the start of the blue moon rising.
