Kevin De Bruyne (£12.4m) can be a huge captain alternative in the two Gameweeks before the break for the FIFA World Cup.

De Bruyne scored and earned 11 points in Saturday's 1-0 win at Leicester City and has now blanked only once in the last seven matches.

Erling Haaland (£12.2m) did not feature in Gameweek 14 after he failed to recover from a foot injury.

Pep Guardiola effectively ruled Haaland out of Manchester City's midweek UEFA Champions League match and says he will have to wait and see if his forward can face Fulham at home next weekend.

With a home match against Brentford to follow in Gameweek 16, De Bruyne can be a major armband alternative if Haaland fails to recover.

Wilson the top target

The star of Saturday's action was Callum Wilson (£7.4m).

He produced his career-high 19-point haul home to Aston Villa, scoring twice and supplying two assists in the 4-0 win.

Wilson is the most-bought player in Fantasy over the last 24 hours, earning 277,000+ new owners ahead of a trip to Southampton.

More than 179,000 of those have switched from Ivan Toney (£7.5m) after he collected his fifth yellow card of the campaign on Saturday. Owned by 26 per cent, he serves a one-match ban in in Gameweek 15 against Nottingham Forest.

And with Brentford then visiting Manchester City in Gameweek 16, Toney owners are advised to  seek out a new replacement.

Wilson was among three Newcastle players to produce double-figure returns as they continue to make a huge impact on 2022/23 Fantasy.

Miguel Almiron (£5.6m) scored once and supplied an assist to record his third successive double-figure return.

He has produced six goals and an assist in his last six matches, with his total of 57 points more than any other player in Fantasy from Gameweek 9 onwards.

Kieran Trippier (£5.8m) climbed to the top of the defender standings with an 11-point return, combining his clean sheet with an assist and two bonus points.

Midfield duo impress again

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Leandro Trossard (£6.9m) and Leeds United’s Rodrigo (£6.3m) have the form and fixtures to provide value in midfield.

Both scored for the second successive Gameweek and earned seven points against Chelsea and Liverpool respectively.

Trossard now faces Wolves and Aston Villa, while Rodrigo faces AFC Bournemouth at home next weekend.
