The Scout’s panel of Fantasy Premier League experts discuss the player who they believe will be the top points scorer in Gameweek 15, with question marks over the fitness of Erling Haaland (£12.1m).

What the experts say
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

If Erling Haaland (£12.1m) is fit, I would expect him to be the top points scorer in Gameweek 15. However, I do think Callum Wilson (£7.5m), who is expected to overcome a minor illness, will be in the hunt to topple the Norwegian. The Newcastle United forward has returned 24 points in his last two Gameweeks and registered nine points the last time he played against Gameweek 15 opponents Southampton in 2021/22 Fantasy.

Manchester City have the best fixture this week, at home to Fulham, and Kevin De Bruyne's (£12.5m) potential for a big score is huge. He is arguably the standout captain pick this week with doubts around Haaland.

Man City look good for a clean sheet this weekend. I predict Joao Cancelo (£7.4m) will add an attacking return to a shutout in a comfortable win for last season's champions.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Southampton have only scored four goals in their last eight matches. This means a clean sheet could be on the cards for Newcastle and Kieran Tripper (£5.9m). The England international has more than enough attacking threat about him too, so aside from the Man City attackers, I'll back him.

Holly Shand (@HollyShand)

De Bruyne could blow Fulham away this weekend. I am fearful of the points he's likely to deliver as a non-owner. He has goals in consecutive outings and is dominant for key passes and chances created this season.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I can't see past the Man City fixture where there is a high ceiling for all attacking players on the pitch. De Bruyne has been benched in the last couple of Champions League contests and looks fresh and ready to deliver again in the Premier League.

Pras (@Pras_fpl)

With Chelsea hosting Arsenal and Liverpool visiting Tottenham Hotspur, the captaincy will come from Man City. If Haaland isn't fit then De Bruyne, Julian Alvarez (£6.0m) or Phil Foden (£8.5m) are all good options. Of these, De Bruyne seems the standout given he got a midweek rest.
