The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts share their thoughts on the best defenders to own for Double Gameweek 25 ahead of Friday's 18:30 GMT deadline.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) has now returned in consecutive outings and his underlying numbers have seen a big jump - with corners and free-kicks, the ceiling is very high for the right-back.
James Tarkowski (£4.3m) is also worth a look - no player has managed more shots than his five since Sean Dyche took charge at Everton.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
Everton now look like the most dangerous side in the league from set-pieces and Tarkowski is clearly their focal point. He's also benefitting from a much more organised team and will clock many clean sheets before the end of the season.
Vitalii Mykolenko (£4.3m) doesn't come with the same attacking threat, but is still very good value.

Liverpool's goal led a bit of a charmed life in the 2-0 win at Newcastle United. Even when the hosts went down to 10-men, the Reds still needed to call on Alisson (£5.4m) a number of times.
But with him in goal and some good underlying attacking numbers, I'll be considering Andy Robertson (£6.8m) for the first time in a while in Fantasy.
I noticed he bagged two bonus points against Newcastle, demonstrating his ability to get into the areas where he can create for others and plunder the FPL points.

Despite their poor underlying numbers, Liverpool have two decent fixtures in the Double Gameweek and Alexander-Arnold and Robertson both have points potential at both ends of the pitch.
If you're looking for a cheaper option, Tarkowski offers great value.

Alexander-Arnold looks back to his best from an attacking perspective. Even though doubts remain on Liverpool's defence, the upside with Alexander-Arnold and to a lesser extent Robertson remains.
From Arsenal, I think Gabriel (£5.2m) or Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m) stand out as ones with attacking threat on top of solid defensive numbers.
Lastly, Everton are a team to target for cheap defensive enablers. Jordon Pickford (£4.4m) and Tarkowski are my standouts for save points and goal threat respectively.

Tarkowski should be many FPL managers' No 1 defensive target. Everton have kept two clean sheets in the three matches since Dyche took charge and this defensive security bodes well for Tarkowski.
Alexander-Arnold has created five chances in the last two matches, more than any other Liverpool player. He has also supplied 20 crosses, double that of Robertson, who with 10 has the next most for the Reds.

Alexander-Arnold and Robertson are the best two picks, with Ben White (£4.7m) and Tarkowski a bit further behind.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have been solid, but I don't think they'll get a clean sheet in either fixture and I don't rate the attacking potential of any of their defenders.
