Liam Walsh converted an 85th-minute penalty to earn Everton a 1-1 Premier League Cup draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, in Telford, which kept them top of Group D.
In his first match since a knee injury, Walsh struck after a foul on Courtney Duffus. Wolves had led through Will Randall in the 36th minute and had they held on, would have gone top of the group.
The point keeps Everton top on seven points, two ahead of Wolves and Portsmouth, who beat Norwich City 4-0.
