Sunderland have announced the signing of defender Joleon Lescott on a free transfer.
The centre-back, 34, has agreed a short-term deal until the end of the season to become the Black Cats' first January signing and reunite with David Moyes, whom he worked with at Everton.

Lescott, most recently of AEK Athens in Greece, will wear the No 15 shirt at the Stadium of Light and could make his 287th Premier League appearance at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday 31 January.
