Eight-year-old West Bromwich Albion supporter Dylen Rose got the shock of a lifetime last week, when instead of a routine trip to the hairdressers he found his Baggies hero Ben Foster holding the scissors.
Fifteen months ago Dylen was surprised to see a family friend lose their hair after being diagnosed with cancer.
When his mother, Sally, told him that it was a special medicine that caused the hair loss, Dylen had only one thought.
“I want to grow my hair and give it to poorly children," he said.
Sally said: "He had quite a bit of stick from kids at school teasing him and tormenting him but when he explained what he was doing it for quite a few kids starting growing their hair too."
Having grown his hair for over a year and raised more than £700 for the Make A Wish foundation, Dylen thought he was being taken to the local hairdressers.
Instead he was whisked away to the club's training ground, where Foster, who raises money for Cure Leukaemia in his spare time, was on hand to do the honours.

"I’m really proud of the little fella – what a great thing to do," said Foster, who snipped off 15 plaits, which were donated to The Little Princess Trust.
On Saturday Dylen was treated to his first West Brom match, which was another unforgettable experience.
Made Fans' Champion for Saturday's visit of Crystal Palace, he got to lead the teams out of the tunnel and deliver the official match ball.
