Ander Herrera, Man Utd

Middlesbrough defenders George Friend, Calum Chambers and Daniel Ayala are ruled out, while Patrick Bamford, the forward, is a big doubt with illness.

But Bernardo Espinosa and Rudy Gestede have recovered from their injuries and are expected to be in the matchday squad.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba (hamstring) has been ruled out and defender Daley Blind is a doubt after a clash of heads in the UEFA Europa League.

Ander Herrera and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are both suspended, while Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Bastian Schweinsteiger are doubts.

Did you know?

Manchester United have scored in each of their last 14 league matches at Middlesbrough, their longest active streak against an opponent.

The Red Devils have won four of their last six Premier League trips to the Riverside Stadium (D1 L1).

Man Utd's next win will be their 600th in the Premier League and they would become the first side to reach that landmark.

United are on the longest unbeaten Premier League run (17 matches), while Boro have gone the longest without a win (10 matches).
