Andre Onana has joined Manchester United from Internazionale Milano, becoming their second signing of the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old Cameroon goalkeeper has agreed to a five-year deal, with an option to extend for a further year, and will wear the No 24 shirt. He is also reunited with United manager Erik ten Hag, with whom he worked from 2017 to 2022 at Ajax.
He replaces David De Gea, whose 12-year stay at Old Trafford came to an end earlier this month.
Reports suggest that United have paid a fee of approximately £47million, which would make him the third-most expensive goalkeeper in history.
“To join Manchester United is an incredible honour and I have worked hard all my life to get to this moment, overcoming many obstacles along the way," Onana told the club's official website.

"Walking out at Old Trafford to defend our goal and contribute to the team will be another amazing experience. This is the start of a new journey for me, with new teammates, and new ambitions to fight for.
“Manchester United has a long history of incredible goalkeepers, and I will now give everything to create my own legacy in the coming years. I am excited by the opportunity to work again with Erik ten Hag, and I can’t wait to play my part in the success I know he is determined to deliver at this great football club.”
Onana played 41 times for Inter in all competitions last season, helping them win the Italian Cup, and was a key part of their run to the UEFA Champions League final, where they lost 1-0 to Manchester City.
'One of world's best 'keepers'
“Andre was our top choice to become the new goalkeeper for Manchester United, with exactly the right profile of technical attributes and personality," John Murtough, United's football director, said. "Having achieved success throughout his career, we know that Andre will further add to the winning mentality we are building within our squad.
“He is already one of the world’s best goalkeepers and at the age of 27 we firmly believe that he can develop even further over the coming years.”
During his time at Ajax, where he started at the academy after joining from Barcelona, Onana played 214 times in all competitions and won three Eredivisie titles, two Dutch Cups, and one Dutch Super Cup.
In total he has played 255 times for Ajax and Inter, recording 104 clean sheets. Onana also registered the most shutouts in last season's Champions League, keeping seven on their way to the final.
Onana made his debut for Cameroon against Gabon in September 2016, and has played a total of 34 times for his nation.
