Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Josko Gvardiol is having his medical ahead of a transfer from RB Leipzig to Manchester City.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of the Community Shield match against Arsenal on Sunday, Guardiola said that he hopes the deal for the 21-year-old defender will be completed in the next few days.
"Gvardiol, what a beautiful surname he has! He is doing a medical test," said Guardiola.

"Everybody knows he is here. Hopefully, we can finish the deal in the next few hours/days."
It's been a summer of change for last season's Treble winners, having lost Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez to Barcelona and Al-Ahli respectively, and bringing in Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea.
And the shake-up to the squad may not be over, with Kyle Walker and Bernardo Silva still rumoured to be on their way out, and Guardiola not ruling out further additions.

"Regarding Kyle and Bernardo, they’re important players for us," said Guardiola.
"We want them to stay. We will do everything. It's not like 'Gundo', where his contract is finished. We will do everything. To replace these two players is so, so difficult.
"We lost two incredible players for us, Ilkay and Riyad. In the last seasons [they] were massively important, incredible, goals and assists, and personalities in the biggest stages and big and important games. To lose Kyle and Bernardo will be so difficult. That's why we are going to do everything to keep them."
When asked if City's business in the transfer market was concluded, Guardiola replied: "I don't know, I think we're going to have to move something."
