The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts give their thoughts on who to captain in Gameweek 8.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

If you own Son Heung-min (£9.4m) for this week, I'd captain him. I do have James Maddison (£8.0m), and am considering going there, too.

Having just conceded six to Aston Villa, targeting Brighton's leaky backline with Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) could also be an option.

Erling Haaland (£14.1m) isn't necessarily the default pick this week, so could be a good week to roll the dice.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@Zopharfpl)

It's a good week to go against Haaland, with Man City Rodri-less and away to Arsenal this week.

Son or Maddison at Luton are great picks, but I think Salah at Brighton could be the standout.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I am currently leaning more to captaining Maddison, who faces a Luton side yet to keep a clean sheet. However, I could also very easily go to Salah against Brighton, as I prefer not to captain players in the first match of the weekend.

Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)

I was hoping Marcus Rashford (£8.8m) would show signs of form to be a differential option, but common sense points to Son.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)

I'm looking at Son for the captaincy this week, with the Luton fixture looking very appetising.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I backed Son over Haaland in Gameweek 5 and it didn't come in for me, but I'm likely to go back for a second time. The fixture is too good to ignore.

Pras (@Pras_FPL)

Son feels like the best captainc, but his early substitutions due to an ongoing niggle are a concern.

Salah is the second-best captain, given Brighton give up a lot of big chances. Haaland still remains a decent choice as Arsenal tend to give up some chances at home.

Harry Daniels (@FPL_Harry)

Son is my current captain over both Salah and Haaland. He has the best form and fixture this week. However, Spurs did struggle against weaker Sheffield United's low block and Son is carrying an injury, so this is one I will keep an eye on.
