A stoppage-time penalty from Oliver Norwood gave Sheffield United their first win of the season as they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Bramall Lane.
Sheff Utd, who had made the worst ever 10-match start to a Premier League season, had led until the 89th minute through a ferocious strike from Cameron Archer. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde equalised, but Wolves substitute Fabio Silva fouled George Baldock in the area and Norwood smashed in the spot-kick to leave Silva in tears.

How the match unfolded
In the first half Wolves looked the more likely to score. Hwang Hee-chan miscued a close-range shot that then found its way to Rayan Ait-Nouri, but the defender screwed the ball wide.
In the second half the Blades took charge and went ahead through Archer, who received a ball from James McAtee in the 72nd minute, drove forward and lashed in a ferocious strike that went in off the crossbar for his second goal of the season.
Wolves hit back through substitute Bellegarde, whose first goal in the league came via a deflected curling shot, and via a pass from Hwang for the South Korean's eighth goal contribution of the season.
But there was a further twist in the seventh minute of stoppage time as Sheff Utd got their penalty.
Despite the win, Sheff Utd remain bottom of the table, albeit with four points, two from safety. Wolves are 13th on 12 points after their five-match unbeaten run came to end.
Bowen makes history but Brentford win
Brentford edged out West Ham United in a five-goal thriller as Nathan Collins sealed a 3-2 comeback victory.
The Bees took the lead through Neal Maupay before goals from Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen gave the Hammers a half-time lead. However an own goal from Konstantinos Mavropanos and Collins' header gave the hosts their third straight Premier League win.

How the match unfolded
Brentford made a fantastic start to the London derby as Maupay scored his first goal for the club since returning this summer. The striker headed in from close range following a goalmouth scramble.
West Ham responded through Kudus as he produced an outstanding acrobatic strike into the left corner for his second Premier League goal.
Bowen then made history as the Hammers completed the turnaround. The winger tapped into an empty net after Kudus had struck a post, becoming the first Premier League player to score in each of his opening six away matches of a season. He surpassed Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah, who set their records of five matches in 2001/02 and 2021/22 respectively.

Bowen should have got an assist when his low ball across the box evaded Mark Flekken, but neither Michail Antonio nor Said Benrahma could convert the chance.
In an action-packed first half, Bryan Mbeumo nearly brought Brentford level, but his shot flashed past the left post.
Instead, the hosts found their equaliser in the 55th minute as Mbeumo produced his 12th goal involvement in London derbies when his cross found the head of Mavropanos, who flicked into his own net.
And Brentford then went in front through a bullet header from Collins from Mathias Jensen’s right-wing cross.
Brentford have now won all five of their Premier League matches against West Ham as they rise to ninth in the table on 16 points, above West Ham, who drop to 11th on 14 points.
Late own goal denies Everton
A late own goal from Ashley Young meant Everton had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home against Brighton & Hove Albion.
A cross from Kaoru Mitoma flicked the thigh of the Everton defender and looped over Jordan Pickford to cancel out Vitalli Mykolenko's first-half goal.

How the match unfolded
Everton made a bright start as Abdoulaye Doucoure forced an early save from Bart Verbruggen, and they didn’t have to wait long to open the scoring through Mykolenko.
The Ukrainian left-back had his first effort beaten away by Verbruggen before the ball fell back to him, and his second shot deflected in off Lewis Dunk.
Dunk, who had already seen a goal overturned for offside, nearly made amends as his free-kick was brilliantly tipped over by Pickford in the second half.
But Brighton’s second-half pressure finally told in the 84th minute through Young’s misfortune.
It means Brighton climb to sixth, on 18 points, while Everton stay 15th on 11 points.

How the match unfolded
Burnley dominated possession and produced 17 shots but were unable to get past goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who made five saves and kept another clean sheet.
At the other end, when Palace had their chances, they weren’t as wasteful as their opponents.
Palace took the lead in the 22nd minute when Jordan Ayew robbed Jordan Beyer down the right and crossed to the far post, where Schlupp slotted into the empty net.
And in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time, Mitchell wrapped up the victory with his third Premier League goal, set up by Eberechi Eze, who made his return from injury as a substitute.
Palace’s victory moves them up to 10th in the table on 15 points. Burnley stay 19th on four points, and are now only above bottom-placed Sheff Utd on goal difference.
