After an enthralling Premier League season, we have analysed the key stats powered by Oracle and will show you in a series of articles revealing which players have run furthest or fastest, had the most shots or displayed ruthlessness in front of goal over the course of the last 10 months, not only overall but at each of the 20 clubs.

Goals prevented

We have looked at which goalkeepers stopped more goals than was expected of them. The Expected Goals on Target (xGOT) Conceded score looks at shots on target and rates them for how much it was expected that they would be goals. We compared each goalkeeper's xGOT Conceded against how many goals they actually let in to determine who did best.

Jose Sa was the top-performing 'keeper in this field. The Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper let in 57 goals but was expected to have conceded 66.45, meaning a top score of 9.45 goals prevented.

Sa had a clear lead over Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez, who had a score of 8.42, followed by Burnley's Arijanet Muric, who justified his recall to the No 1 spot at Turf Moor with a score of 7.09 from only 10 matches.
