Arsenal
When it came to producing huge hauls in 2023/24 Fantasy, there’s no surprise to learn that players were more likely to succeed if they were playing in a home match.
There were 482 double-figure hauls over the course of the campaign, with 274 of them recorded by players in a home fixture compared with only 208 on the road.

Indeed, there is only one club who managed more 10+ points hauls in away matches than in home matches: Arsenal.
The Gunners recorded 21 double-figure returns at Emirates Stadium, only the third-best home record in the league.
On the road, though, Mikel Arteta’s team were head and shoulders above anyone else.

Incredibly, apart from the 20 of Manchester City, Arsenal’s total of 28 double-figure hauls was at least TWICE that of any other club on their travels. As a result, Gunners’ players accounted for 13.5 per cent of all double-figure hauls in away matches in 2023/24.
That output is all the more impressive when compared with the total number of 10+ points hauls across the season, regardless of location.
Only five other clubs - Man City, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Aston Villa - claimed more than 28 double-figure scores in home and away matches COMBINED.

Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz were the chief protagonists for the Premier League runners-up.
Saka matched the five double-figure hauls of Odegaard to end the season as the top-scoring player in away matches on 125 points. That’s a significant improvement of 48 points from 2022/23, when Saka managed only 77 points on the road.

Havertz, meanwhile, fared even better when assessed against the 2022/23 campaign, his final season at Chelsea.
The German upped his away output by 52 points to collect 99 points, just one behind Cole Palmer and only two fewer than Erling Haaland.
Having played mainly up front last season, Havertz may well prove a popular figure in managers’ frontlines next season if, as seems likely, he is reclassified as a forward in Fantasy.
Arsenal’s Ben White was the only defender to secure a place among the 10 top-scoring players in away matches this season. He amassed 93 points, thanks to two goals, two assists and 10 clean sheets.

Player | 22/23 away pts | 23/24 away pts | Pts difference |
---|---|---|---|
Saka | 77 | 125 | +48 |
Watkins | 72 | 113 | +41 |
Son | 66 | 109 | +43 |
Odegaard | 116 | 109 | -9 |
Haaland | 111 | 101 | -10 |

Foden | 56 | 97 | +41 |
Bernardo | 51 | 93 | +42 |

The Gunners’ defensive record on the road only lends weight to the tactic of investing in their key players at both ends of the pitch next season.
Their total of 11 clean sheets was more than twice the total of any side apart from the seven of Man City.
