Chelsea have announced the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto, the club’s 10th new arrival of the summer.
The Portugal star has moved to Stamford Bridge on a seven-year contract, as new head coach Enzo Maresca reshapes Chelsea's squad ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season, which starts on Friday 16 August.
What did he have to say?
“I feel really grateful to have joined this club,” the 24-year-old told the club’s official website.
“I have worked really hard in my career to be here and I’m looking forward to getting on the pitch with this shirt.”

Where will he fit in?
The predominantly left-footed winger often operates from the right, and Chelsea already boast considerable depth on both flanks.
Neto will be competing for a place with players such as Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk.
His stats stack up - Neto's nine PL assists last season offered more than Sterling, Madueke and Mudryk combined. He produced a goal contribution more than every other match at Wolves in 2023/24.
Chelsea’s 2024/25 transfer activity
Chelsea have been one of the busiest clubs this window, with Neto’s arrival taking the five-time Premier League champions into double figures for new signings. He joins Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman and Aaron Anselmino in west London.
Caleb Wiley, Renato Veiga and Marc Guiu have also joined, along with Estevao Willian - who won't link up with the club until 2025.
Who is Pedro Neto?
Neto was born on 9 March 2000, in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
He has established himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attackers since moving to Wolves back in 2019.
Neto had little senior experience before switching to England five years ago, playing only three times for Braga in his home country before a short-lived loan at Lazio. Making just seven appearances in total, Neto got his big break at Molineux.
He has played 10 times for Portugal, and was included in their squad for Euro 2024. Neto was ruled out of the FIFA World Cup 2022 due to injury.
