At today’s Premier League Shareholders’ meeting, clubs confirmed the reappointment of Mai Fyfield and Dharmash Mistry as Independent Non-Executive Directors of the Premier League Board for a further three-year term.
Mai and Dharmash were first appointed to the Board in October 2021 and bring significant expertise from careers across a wide range of industries.
They will continue to work alongside fellow Board members Premier League Chair Alison Brittain and Independent Non-Executive Director Matthew Ryder KC, who were both appointed in 2023 for three-year terms, as well as Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters.
Alison Brittain said: “It has been a pleasure working with Mai and Dharmash, who both bring extremely valuable skills and expertise to the Board. I am delighted they are remaining in their roles for a further three years and their knowledge and varied experience will continue to bring benefit to the League. They have both brought a fresh outlook and are passionate football fans who feel strongly about the positive impact the game brings to communities and supporters in the UK and around the world.”
Mai is an experienced media executive and Non-Executive Director. She was previously the Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer at Sky and during her almost 20-year tenure was a key player in the growth and diversification of the business. Since leaving Sky, Mai has served on several Boards and advised media and private equity clients on a variety of investments and strategic issues. She is also on the Boards of Roku Inc and BBC Commercial, and chairs the Premier League’s Remuneration Committee.
Dharmash is an experienced technology venture capitalist, entrepreneur and Non-Executive Director who brings more than 20 years’ experience building global consumer-facing and digital businesses across a wide range of sectors. Dharmash also currently sits on the Boards of Halma plc, Rathbones plc and CMA (Competition & Markets Authority). He also chairs the Premier League’s Audit & Finance Committee, and is the Premier League’s representative on The FA Board.
