Brentford have made Premier League history, becoming the first team to score in the opening minute of a match for the THIRD game in a row.

Bryan Mbeumo's goal after just 38 seconds against West Ham United on Saturday completed an incredible hat-trick of fast starts for the Bees.

At the start of this month, Manchester City were the only team to have scored in the first minute in consecutive matches.

Sergio Aguero struck after 24 seconds at Newcastle United on 29 January 2019, before the Argentinian scored after only 46 seconds at home to Arsenal five days later.

But Brentford have now eclipsed Man City's achievement.

Coincidentally, the Bees' sequence started at Man City on 14 September as Yoane Wissa struck after only 22 seconds at the champions' Etihad Stadium.

Last weekend, Mbeumo scored after only 23 seconds at Tottenham Hotspur. And on Saturday, the Cameroonian volleyed in spectacularly against West Ham after 38 seconds to give Brentford the record.
