The Scout looks at the best-performing players across the first 29 Gameweeks of 2024/25 Fantasy Premier League.
The Fantasy Team of the Season so far reflects Nottingham Forest’s outstanding Premier League campaign.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side supply FOUR of the best XI, which lines up in a 3-4-3 formation. Liverpool supply a further two players, while no other club has more than one player in the line-up.

Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest) £5.1m, 125pts
Starting the season at a cost of just £4.5m, the Belgian’s many routes to returns have proven outstanding value over the season. Sels has produced 12 clean sheets, an assist, 20 save points and 10 bonus points to top the goalkeeper standings on 125 points, eight clear of Arsenal’s David Raya (£5.5m).
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) £7.4m, 135pts
Liverpool’s right-back has made a huge impact at both ends of the pitch, combining two goals and six assists with 12 clean sheets. Alexander-Arnold’s 38 shots and 51 chances created both rank among the top two defenders this season, highlighting his huge attacking potential.
Ola Aina (Nottingham Forest) £5.4m, 122pts
Aina is the leading defender for bonus points in 2024/25, collecting 15 of them, while his 12 clean sheets place joint-top in his position. As a result, he is the second most-popular defender in Fantasy, found in over 29 per cent of squads.
Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest) £4.9m, 120pts
In terms of value, the centre-back has returned 24.5 points per million spent – joint-top with his team-mate Sels among all players this season. Milenkovic has proven a huge threat at set-pieces in his debut Fantasy campaign, with his 18 headed shots at least three more than any other defender.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.7m, 306pts
The Egyptian’s total of 306 points means he has already surpassed the best Fantasy season of ALL-TIME with nine matches still remaining. If Salah maintains his average of 10.6 points per match, he will break the 400-point barrier by the end of 2024/25.
Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £10.8m, 181pts
Chelsea’s playmaker has been Salah’s closest rival this season, with 14 goals and eight assists earning him 181 points. Palmer’s output at Stamford Bridge has been particularly impressive, with 100 of those points recorded in home matches.
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £8.1m, 179pts
Fifteen goals and six assists have helped the Brentford star to third place in the overall player standings, surpassing his previous career-high of 150 points in 2022/23. That form has made Mbeumo the most-bought player in Fantasy this season, with over 8.48million transfers in.
Bruno Fernandes (Man Utd) £8.6m, 152pts
The Manchester United playmaker has equalled his total of 19 goal involvements from last season, scoring eight and assisting a further 11. Fernandes is the top-scoring player over the last four Gameweeks, producing 46 points and three double-figure hauls during that spell.
Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest) £7.3m, 174pts
Nottingham Forest’s forward is another player who is enjoying his best season in Fantasy. Wood’s 18 goals and three assists have earned him a price rise of £1.3m since the campaign started, more than any other player.
Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.8m, 171pts
Manchester City’s Norwegian sits second in the race for the Golden Boot, scoring 21 goals to the 27 of Salah. However, the fierce competition for managers’ forward lines in Fantasy, added to Haaland’s hefty price tag, means he is the third most-sold player in 2024/25, with over 6.3million transfers out.
Alexander Isak (Newcastle) £9.3m, 169pts
The Swede is just three points shy of equalling his best Fantasy campaign, with 10 matches still remaining for Newcastle United. An ownership of over 52 per cent makes Isak the most-popular forward this season and his schedule is bound to make him a key figure for Fantasy managers' starting XI over the run-in.
