Chelsea have announced the signing of Antonio Rudiger from Roma.
The 24-year-old Germany defender has agreed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge after moving for an undisclosed fee.
“It’s a great feeling because not every player has the opportunity to join a huge club like this,” Rudiger, who will wear the No 2 shirt, told chelseafc.com.
Rudiger is Chelsea's second signing of the summer, after Willy Caballero joined from Manchester City on a free transfer.
The 2017/18 Premier League champions will open their defence at home to Burnley on Saturday 12 August.
