UEFA Champions League

Leicester City, the BPL champions, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur take automatic places in the group stages.

After their 1-1 draw at Swansea City, Manchester City will contest a play-off, barring a Manchester United victory by at least 18 goals over AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday.

A fifth BPL side can feature in the UCL next season, if Liverpool earn a place in the group stages through winning the Europa League final against Sevilla in Basel on 18 May.

UEFA Europa League

Manchester United are guaranteed at least sixth place in the BPL, which alone would earn them a place in the UEL qualifying round. Avoiding defeat against AFC Bournemouth would earn United fifth and a guaranteed place in the UEFA Europa League group stages.

If United lost to AFC Bournemouth they would still be able to qualify for the UEL group stages through winning the FA Cup.

Southampton's 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace confirmed a place in the UEL, by moving up to fifth. They will remain there and earn a place in the UEL group stage if Man Utd lose to AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday.

If Man Utd earn at least a point against AFC Bournemouth, sixth will earn Southampton a third qualifying round place in the UEL. If United win the FA Cup it would guarantee the Saints a place in the group stages.

West Ham United, in seventh, need Man Utd to win the FA Cup on 21 May to earn a UEL place, in the third qualifying round.

Crystal Palace can spoil the Hammers’ hopes if they win the FA Cup on Saturday. That would earn them a place in the UEFA Europa League group stages for 2016/17.
